Baking a Cake


This week most of the seniors went on a ski camp to Portaspass so Priya did with me instead of Jess. We baked a vanilla cake that had chocolate chips inside it looked so good with the Icing on it. The juniors we did it with were Stella,Charles and Tamzin, they helped us make the cake.

What we did at technology

Last week we went to Technology

At Tech (Technology) the year sevens did metal work first. We had to come up with Idea's to make in metal work when we came up with an idea and then we had to come up with what it would look like. Next was Digital Technology we learnt to right our names onto a computer so it looked 3D it was really fun and in the end we got chocolate!

Transformation using grids

Today we found an accredited image on Explore and selected it to use on our page. We then put a 5x5 grid on it so we could copy the image and make it original. Mrs Minehan selected the first two images so we could understand the process, then we got to choose our own image. 

I found the first one was the hardest

The second one was and the tree and was easy to draw

I chose the image of google  because I just thought it looked cool

Cue cards





This week we learnt about how to put cue cards after you’re writing.

Cue cards are a couple of words that help you to remember you’re speech.

I enjoyed the cue cards because they were quick and easy to make.

 I found it challenging that you could only write a few words.

Learning how to make a my google map



Today we learnt how to make a Google My Maps. First we brainstormed all the land marks of Kumara such as the Theatre Royal, Kumara Junction and the park. Next we made a Google My Map to put the land marks on. After that it was pretty straight forward, you placed the mark where the place is and then write a description of the place. Those were my steps for how to make a google my maps.
